NARKOMOVSKAYA Stalin’s lamp antique Soviet USSR hammer and sickle ORIGINAL. A complete restoration has been made – the electrician has been replaced, the lampshade is fabric, the leg is varnished. Everything is in perfect condition. Magnificent table lamp of the Stalinist period, general’s, with sickles and hammers on the lampshade. On the way of business; in the normal course of work. A convenient switch is installed. All components in the lamp are original, except for the power cord and fabric on the lampshade, since the “native” rubber insulation, like the fabric of the lampshade, has deteriorated. The half-meter table lamp “Narkomovskaya” is made of metal with a narrow fabric shade. In the circle of her world, so many historical and tragic documents for the country have been signed that it becomes scary. Although the lamp is certainly not to blame for this. Such lamps were produced by the Moscow plant “Electrosvet” from about the mid-20s to 1937. They almost did not go on free sale – they were used in the offices of responsible comrades from various people’s commissariats, most often from the Red Army. This is a symbol of the harsh Stalinist years. For almost half a century they decorated the tables of all ceremonial meetings of the People’s Commissariats. It was a sign of high status.
