Here is a very cool piece of history! This is a set of Soviet Union/Russia/USSR Cold War Propaganda Poster Art. The posters nicely fit inside a large poster folder, which is 13″ x 17 1/4″. The folder is mostly a teal-colored blue with what looks like a crowd of people holding signs (written in Russian). Included in the folder are 5 posters & 1 “poster” that has Russian writing (not sure what is says). All of the posters are 17+” x slightly under 13″. These are really cool, have great artwork and something we’ve never seen before! The poster folder does have some wear & a bit of tearing along its edges, as well as some creasing along the edges. The posters are in good shape. Please view all pictures. A fantastic set of poster art and history to add to any collection! Recently “picked” from the Greater Philadelphia area, I personally hand select each antique, piece of art, jewelry or any other item of interest myself. I wasn’t sure what to write so please take it with a grain of salt, I’m not sure it would be specifically labeled a propaganda piece, maybe just advertising. Although I do believe it’s original from 1954 and not a reprint, and it seems to be in great condition besides a few dings in the metal frame, I haven’t seen the poster without the frame as that’s how I received it. On November 27, 1978, four tennis superstars played in the Exhibition Tournament in Tallinn, Soviet Union / USSR. Bjorn Borg (Sweden), Vitas Gerulaitis (USA), Adriano Panatta (Italy), and Alexander “Sandy” Mayer (USA) participated. This is an official UNUSED advertisement poster for this Exhibition Tournament. The poster was not for public sale!!! Only 1330 copies were printed. The condition of this poster is unused – extremely good, with no cracs etc. The poster is in Estonian language and the translation is. In Tallinn, November 27, 1978. In KS “Dynamo” Tennis Hall. The size of this very rare poster is 82,5 x 58 centimeters / 32.5 x 22.8 inches. PLEASE SEE the black and white photo taken during the press conference before the tournament and you will see the same posters on the wall!!! PS: Tallinn is now the capital of Estonia.
