Authentic Soviet Brass Wall Emblem – 1960s-1970s. Original handcrafted USSR coat of arms made of thick solid brass, mounted on aged wooden base. Decor piece from mid-century Soviet interiors – regional administration buildings, clubs, or schools. The emblem shows the post-1956 15-republic variant with 7 ribbon turns on each side, symbolizing the final version of the Union design used until 1991. Material: Hand-embossed solid brass on wood base. Size: 27 × 23 cm (? 10.6 × 9 in). Technique: manual embossing and polishing, dark patinated background. Mounting: rear nail holes on wood (original). Origin: USSR (likely workshop or art-combinate production). The emblem follows the 7-ribbon / 15-republic standard introduced after 1956, when Karelo-Finnish SSR was merged into Russia. This brass example represents the decorative mid-century interpretation of the state symbol – a design rarely preserved in such condition today. Soviet or Cold War collectors. Industrial / Brutalist interior décor. Museum or prop collection. Unique gift for history enthusiasts. Authentic vintage patina, light wear and oxidation consistent with age. Wooden back shows insect marks typical for mid-century storage, fully stable and treated.
