USSR Soviet Russian Soldier’s Military Jacket overcoat Winter Coat Army Shinel. (for chest 96 cm around and for tall up to 182 cm). NEW in perfect condition! Made in USSR 1980 th. USSR Military Old Stock Warehousing. An overcoat is an indispensable attribute of a Russian soldier. It became part of the form in the 18th century and remains it to this day. In the Soviet Army, infantry overcoats were distinguished – 32 cm from the floor and cavalry overcoats – very long, all the way to the ground. An old-style soldier’s overcoat is sewn from brownish-gray cloth. It is very warm and durable, designed for long service in the most severe conditions from Moscow to the outskirts. The overcoat is single-breasted, fastens with invisible hooks in front. There are three small buttons on the back of the soldier’s overcoat. The strap is made in the form of an elongated figure of eight and is attached to two large buttons. The overcoat is usually worn with a lap belt. The soldiers also had sleeve insignia, shoulder straps and buttonholes. An old-style soldier’s overcoat is not only practical clothes, but also part of the image, a stylish thing in the spirit of “military”. Not for nothing, after all, in the 80s of the last century, the Chinese changed one overcoat for three short fur coats of dogs.

Decor piece from mid-century Soviet interiors – regional administration buildings, clubs, or schools. The emblem shows the post-1956 15-republic variant with 7 ribbon turns on each side, symbolizing the final version of the Union design used until 1991. A Big Very Nice and Rare, Old, Authentic Soviet Epoch USSR Propaganda Cast PLAQUE from Steam Locomotive with Soviet Union Coat of Arms (SEAL) with 16 Strips – Republics. Weight 2.9 pounds (1.3 kg). Made in USSR right after WW2 of heavy metal alloy. Good condition – see photo for all details. It was taken from Loco after Soviet Union disintegration. The serious collector knows that the Soviet Union was consisting of 16 republics (including Karelian-Finland Soviet Socialist Republic) during a short period of time from 1946 to 1956 (before 1946 there were 11 republics, after 1956 – 15 Republics). I was born in the USSR and I was 26 years old when Ukraine became independent in 1991 in accordance with Article 3 of Treaty on the Creation of the USSR (1922, December 30). I know very well the difference between living in a totalitarian country and living in a free one.
