M. “The History of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in Posters” is a large-scale series of Soviet educational, instructional, and propaganda posters that were used for the mass ideological indoctrination of party cadres and the population of the USSR. This series was created as the official visual companion to I. Stalin’s famous textbook “A Short Course in the History of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)” (published in 1938). Format: Large-format sets (usually 40 posters per album folder), published by Gospolitizdat. Style: Academic Socialist Realism. Instead of avant-garde montage, the emphasis shifted to strict infographics: detailed maps (diagrams of strikes, military operations), reproductions of paintings featuring Lenin and Stalin, as well as portraits of Politburo members. Purpose: A mandatory element of the decor in Lenin rooms, party schools, factories, and educational institutions for passing the political minimum. A big request to buyers!!! Vtg 80s “My Family” USSR Soviet Union CCCP Communist Propaganda Poster Cold War. Print run of 90000, printed in 1988. Measures 38″ by 25″. Item is pre owned. Nice condition with some wear/creases here and there as shown. Some notable wrinkling/damage along the top include a few half inch tears and one on the right side that’s about 1.5 long. Most of it would be covered when framed. Colors are good, doesn’t appear faded or washed out. Please refer to photos for detail.
