It can be used separately. The machete knife itself has a triangular shape with two sharpened sides and can be used both as a chopping tool and as a means for digging. The total length of the machete is 360 mm, the length of the blade is 240 mm, and the width of the butt is up to 4 mm. Ask questions, I will be happy to answer.

In September 1966 – December 1968, he was preparing for the flight of the Soyuz spacecraft in the 2nd crew of the passive spacecraft under the Docking program, together with Andriyan Nikolaev (from August 1968 replaced by Anatoly Filipchenko) and Viktor Gorbatko. 18th pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR and 40th cosmonaut of the world, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. On July 7, 1981, he became deputy head of the complex. January 1, 1982 – appointed head of the 29th service (training of test cosmonauts). June 12, 1987 – transferred to the position of deputy head of the 5th complex. December 29, 1989 – appointed deputy head of the 5th department, received the title of 1st class test cosmonaut instructor. November 3, 1993 – dismissed from the cosmonaut corps due to retirement due to length of service.

Honored Test Pilot of the USSR, Lieutenant-General of Aviation, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR No. Winner of the USSR State Prize (1981). Had scientific works in the field of cosmonautics and engineering psychology. He defended his thesis at the Lesgaft Institute of Physical Culture and received a degree in psychology.
