He made his first space flight from December 18 to 26, 1973, together with flight engineer V. Lebedev on the Soyuz-13 spacecraft. The flight duration was 7 days 20 hours 55 minutes 35 seconds. Before the flight, Yu. Romanenko was the youngest (by date of birth) of those who flew into space. Vitaly Ivanovich Sevastyanov – pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR, candidate of technical sciences. Twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Member of the CPSU since 1963.

1960-70’s Russia Soviet Union Cosmonauts Space Medal. Cosmonauts are pictured on the obverse, with stars around and an inscription I cannot read. The reverse shows a map, a town name, and other things. Struck in Zinc, I think, a huge 5-inches in diameter, two sided, and in decent condition, because zinc can easily rust or corrode there is some of it on both obverse and reverse, and there is a small 3 mm hole drilled on the edge.
