The product is a vintage 1980s Ambroid plastic chess set representing the Soviet Union USSR. The chess set features faux amber marble pieces and comes with a board case. The chess pieces are made of Ambroid, a specific material that was popular in the Soviet Union during the 1980s. Marbled synthetic resin or plastic with beautiful details and glass like look (some pieces have seams and would indicate that they are synthetic or mold pressed) – more like a Bakelite or MCM plastic. Very light, but extremely durable pieces. Both queens are missing small black ball cap inserts in crowns. Board latch button is having some alignment issue and has trouble securing on both sides.
