Reproduction pair of Marshal of the Soviet Union shoulder boards, 1943 pattern. Gold brocade with red edging, hand-embroidered Soviet state emblem and red star, mounted over red wool backing. Each board has one large silver marshal star at the bottom, as on wartime/postwar parade and overcoat uniforms of the highest Soviet rank. Excellent for display, collection, reenactment or to complete a Soviet marshal uniform. Replica / non-period / not a government issue. Item as shown in the photos. Pattern: M43 gold marshal boards (Feb 1943). Rank: Marshal of the Soviet Union (highest real Soviet rank). Front: gold brocade, red piping, machine/hand embroidery of USSR emblem. Star: large silver wire 5-pointed marshal star fixed at lower end. Backing: red cloth / felt, closed type (parade/overcoat style). Condition: new reproduction, never issued. The Marshal of The Soviet Union can be considered equal to the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and or Secretary of Defense. This overcoat is the parade dress for the Marshal of The Soviet Union and has the correct matching gray backed shoulder boards specifically for this jacket.
