This is a lovely item to own or to give as a special gift. Soviet men’s mechanical watches Lightning Moscow-80 with a bear of the USSR. Was produced specifically after the 1980 Olympics, held in Moscow. Then the Soviet Union won and this event became truly significant in the history of the country. The watch case, made of stainless steel of high strength. Is impeccable and has a diameter of 44 millimeters. The ears for a strap with a width of 22 millimeters fit perfectly into the overall design of the watch. The light spacious dial contains a large Arabic digitization, an image of Olympic rings (represents five continents of the world) and of course the smiling Bear – a symbol of the 1980 Summer Olympic Games. Black watch and minute arrows are installed in the center with pointed tips. The second arrow is brought down instead of ” 6 hours ” with its own scale and designations. A strong mineral glass is installed in front of the dial, and on the back. Instead of the usual metal cover. There is a transparent panel through which the clockwork of Lightning is visible. The entire 3602 caliber mechanism is manually assembled at the Chelyabinsk Watch Plant, USSR. This model provides up to 36 hours of continuous operation after a full factory of mechanics. Igry XXII Olimpiady , was an international multi-sport event held in Moscow, Soviet Union, in present-day Russia.
