Vintage 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics souvenir vase featuring the official Olympic emblem with stylized Kremlin tower and Olympic rings. This decorative vessel showcases intricate pierced filigree metalwork around the center band with a satin-finished silver-plated body. Today they are highly collectible among Olympic, Cold War, and Soviet memorabilia collectors. Event: 1980 Summer Olympics (XXII Olympiad). Host City: Moscow, USSR. A great thing from Soviet times. The vase is very large and heavy, about 2600 g. You can see all the dimensions and weight in the photographs. The vase depicts a photograph of a participant in the Great Patriotic War and a dedicatory inscription (congratulations on the anniversary). Sickle & Hammer and Famous Propaganda Exhibition Monument – Symbol of the Soviet Country Achievements “Socialist Worker and Kolkhoznitsa”. Inscriptions: All-union agricultural Exhibition. USSR Good condition, no chips, there is one tiny crack on the bottom – see photo for all details. Made in USSR in 1939 of porcelain. H=7 3/4 (19.5 cm). Weight 1 2/3 pounds (750 gram). There is Hallmark famous DULEVO plant (former Kuznetsov porcelain). Very nice work and extremely rare item.
