The Order of Glory 3 degrees was awarded to the highest military personnel of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) during the Second World War. It was established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on July 8, 1942. The emblem of the order had the shape of a five-pointed star and was made of silver. The Order of Glory 3 degrees was awarded only to soldiers of the Armed Forces of the USSR for meritorious service in battle, showing heroism, outstanding leadership qualities and great military successes. In turn, they contributed to the victory over fascist forces.
