The Singer Sewing Machine Factory was nationalized after Great October Revolution and renamed to GOSSHVEYMASHINA – literally’State Sewing Machine. L=20 ” (51 cm), H=12 3/4″ (32.5 cm). I was born in the USSR and I was 26 years old when Ukraine became independent in 1991 in accordance with Article 3 of Treaty on the Creation of the USSR (1922, December 30). I know very well the difference between living in a totalitarian country and living in a free one.
