Vintage Soviet Military Field Telephone??? -43-? (NOS). For sale is a rare, unopened Soviet military field telephone, model??? -43-? (TAI-43-P), manufactured in 1966. This item is in New Old Stock (NOS) condition, appearing unused and stored in a warehouse. Repina, it replaced the UNA series and was inspired by captured German FF-33 field phones, though with distinct internal differences. Post-WWII, its wooden case was upgraded to carbolite in 1947. The device proved reliable until replaced by the TA-57 model. Power: Operates on a 1.5V battery (type 3V or 3C); increasing to 9V improves microphone performance. Range: Up to 25 km with PTF-7X2 field wire, or 250 km with a 3mm air line. Design: Supports two-wire or single-wire setups; the modified version allows remote radio control via a built-in push-to-talk. Condition: NOS, unused, with minor wear on the casing, no battery, carry strap, or additional handset (tube) included. Untested due to missing battery! Dimensions: 20.5 cm x 26.5 cm x 10 cm.
