ORIGINAL WW2 Model 1935 Soviet Russian Police Militia Officer’s Visor Hat. This Model was approved on December 3, 1935. Constructed of dark-blue wool twill with blue-green wool cap band and blue-green piping. At the front of the hat on the band is placed bronzed cockade with a raised bronzed hammer and sickle. The band is flanked on each side by bronzed magnetic metal buttons, bearing star design with. Securing in place a black oilcloth chinstrap. When not in use, the chinstrap rests upon a black vulcanfibre visor which presents in a classic M35 square-shaped style. The interior of the cap features a 35 mm-wide black leatherette sweatband. The interior is fully lined with a grey cotton-blended liner with stamped size 57. The cap is maker’s marked (hard to read). Minor, age-appropriate material fatigue is evident. It is in an overall near extremely fine condition. I had made pictures that serve as an additional description.
