The item is in its original condition – no modifications (without restoration or anything else). 40mm wide silver insignia of irregular circular shape with eyelet for ribbon suspension; the face with a cog-wheel bearing a radiant view of a coal mine, dam, chemical works and construction cranes, a hammer and sickle imposed, circumscribed in gilt letters’???????? (Labour Glory), five graduated rays above, the uppermost supporting a five-pointed red enamel star, golden ears of corn around the lower edges, a gilt-edged red enamel ribbon at the base inscribed in gilt letters’???? (= SSSR for the Sojus Sowjetskich Sozialistitscheskich Respublik = the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics); the reverse concave, plain with maker’s mark’????????? (for the Monetny Dvor = Leningrad Mint) and numbered; on original ribbon and pentagonal hanger mounted for wear. The Order of Labour Glory Russian:????? Was a Soviet civilian award created on 18 January 1974 by the decision of the Praesidium of Supreme Soviet of the USSR. This silver order was awarded to workers and foremen of industry, transport, construction and other branches of material production, collective farmers an agricultural workers, as well as workers in the non-productive sphere for selfless and highly productive long-term work at one enterprise, institution, organization or collective farm. Also teachers, educators, masters of industrial training are awarded for success in teaching and educating children and adolescents, preparing them for life and work, and long-term work in one educational institution.
